So Olli was finally in the water for our first weekend!

So our weekend began on Thursday evening when we introduced our third crew mate, Indi to Olli. Needless to say, Indi was a little stressed out on the first evening wondering where we were, and why the floor was moving! We stocked up the refrigerators and coolers for the weekend, and were ready to go! We spent a relaxing evening at the dock, and sunk a few glasses of wine to celebrate. We had a great first nights sleep, wondering if the bed would suit us after being used to a king at home, but all was well.

Friday bought a superb sunny day, with no wind and a glass calm lake, so we set off on our first solo trip onto Lake Erie. We played around with the boat, and i was really glad that we updated our Garmin software to the G2 blue vision which gave us a faultless map to go by on new and shallow waters. we ended up anchoring off a small beach and enjoyed lunch on the water, with Indi enjoying the view, if not the life vest she was wearing.

So after a few hours on the wter we set off back to the marina to tie up and enjoy another BBQ on the transom.

The boat as behaving really well, apart from a few plumbing issues. We had a water leak in the water inlet valve, which I replaced out and Pride Marine offered to pay for, but I then discovered a leak in the sump system which was letting the water from the sinks into the bilge, thanks to a fractured inlet on the sump. so a call to Pride again had them offering to pay for the parts, but it left us with no water on the boat for the remainder of the weekend. Not a huge issue, but a pain not being able to even wash hands on board, so Lysol wipes to the rescue!

saturday bought us to our family coming to visit, Andy Shell and the kids, Ellie Josh and Sam.

So when Indi saw them along the dock, she ran to greet them, then ran back to the boat and inside to get a toy to greet them with. she then ran out onto the transom at full tilt, only to go sliding into the water, toy still in mouth, and then sank under the transom! a good grab and pull, she was on the dry side again, and looked sorry for the effort.

So we set off for a boat trip and again anchored off a small beach so that the kids could splash and play in the 68 degree water........that didn't last too long.

So after a lunch, we set off back to the marina and had a great time cooking up a storm on a small but effective grill on the rear.

Sunday was a day to chill and relax at the dock, and with weather again superb, we did exactly that. The sun pad on the front was a popular place to hang out, but even the dog wanted in.

So when all said and done, a really succesful weekend. Heres hoping for many more to come!
